In a quiet residential area overlooking Ambleside this spacious and delightful detached split level bungalow will make an excellent location for your Lakeland holiday at any time of the year. Comfortably and stylishly furnished the property stands in a corner position with a mature garden and ample private parking - ideal for those who want to 'leave the car at home' whilst enjoying all the walking and other activities in this beautiful area.

Ambleside centre or Lake Windermere are ten minutes walk down the hill. Take a lake cruise on England's longest lake or enjoy the selection of local shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes offering all manner of Lakeland delicacies. There is easy access on foot to Wansfell, Loughrigg and The Fairfield Horseshoe and plenty of lower level walks to keep all the party happy.

Accommodation: Several steps to front door (sloping path to back door only has a couple of steps). Spacious entrance hall with room for coats and boots, leading into the delightful L-shaped sitting/dining room. Patio door leads out onto a patio/balcony with table and chairs and views across the valley to Loughrigg. (flat screen TV with BT TV, DVD, iPod docking station, free wi-fi and living flame gas fire.) Inner hall to fitted kitchen again with a very pleasant outlook. Rear utility porch and backdoor to rear garden.

The house has four bedrooms - one with a king-size bed, one with a double bed and a single at one end of the house. A further spacious twin (portable TV) is reached up a few steps from the main entrance hallway and offers a good sense of privacy away from the rest of the family. Two bathrooms - one has bath with shower, basin and wc, and the other has shower, basin and wc.

The property has a light and sunny feel and is immaculately decorated, furnished and equipped to a high standard, in pastel colours with fitted carpets throughout and good fabrics, with a selection of games, books and DVDs.

Outside: In addition to the patio/verandah there is a second sunny patio to the side of the house offering a good degree of privacy and with garden table and chairs provided. The garden is mostly of gravel with mature shrubs and high hedges. Ample parking for two/three cars. Access to garage for bike storage and wet weather gear. Village centre or Lake Windermere 10 minutes walk.
