Details

Sweden Bank occupies an elevated position on the outskirts of Ambleside with panoramic southerly views over the village towards Lake Windermere in the valley.

The house has been a much loved family holiday home for many years. The rooms are light and sunny with fine views from all the main windows and the house will make a good base for a walking or touring holiday in any season of the year.

Being in a quiet residential area you will not be disturbed by passing traffic. Walks from the door will challenge even the most energetic Lakeland walkers, whilst those who wish to relax will find the garden and patio a real delight on warmer days.

Accommodation: Front door entrance from the carport area into slate floored hallway. Downstairs wc and hand basin. Large sitting/dining room (large plasma TV, video, gas fire) has patio doors to the south facing outside terrace and also to the rear covered porch. New contemporary kitchen with breakfast bar. Laundry area and freezer in downstairs store.

Open tread stairs from hall to first floor - two bedrooms on the south side - one double and one twin - both with lake views. Smaller third bedroom has children's bunks. Modern fitted bathroom (bath with shower over, basin and wc).

The comfortable interior makes the most of the light and sunny atmosphere and large windows. Beech-wood floors downstairs whilst upstairs has fitted carpets. Gas central heating.

Outside: Sunny patio to the rear with steps down into the charming terraced and sheltered garden. Barbecue. Private off-road parking under the carport at the front for one car and further parking on the lane nearby. Ambleside village half a mile down the hill.
