A guest house providing top quality bed and breakfast accommodation, with a licensed bar . We provide 8 comfortable en suite rooms with digital TV, power showers, 2 family, 2 twin, 1 single and 3 double rooms.
We have a Fire safety certificate and Food Hygiene Certificate.

We are family friendly with high chair and cot, cycle friendly with tool spares and secure sheltered cycle storage, pet friendly, there is a £10 charge per pet per night(please ring us beforehand to arrange for pet), walker friendly with drying facilities. We offer train station collection, free Wi-Fi internet facilities and ample parking in the vicinity. We even provide a local cyclist rescue service for guests running late or having trouble with their bikes.

We are situated in the centre of the tranquil Edwardian resort of Grange-over-Sands, on the tip of the Cartmel Peninsula, with its charming independent shops, famous cafes and fragrant parks and gardens. A mile long promenade overlooks the sandy expanse of Morecambe Bay. The piping call of the Oystercatcher, the bubbling song of the Skylark and the springtime Purple Orchid are icons of this stunning limestone country.

We are 15 minutes from Windermere lake, 20-minute drive from M6 jct 36 and within direct, frequent rail service to the main line at Lancaster, Manchester and Manchester airport. Somerset House is a perfect and much quieter base for exploring southern Lakeland. Even better, forget the car and take a stroll straight from our front door up to the top of Hampsfell, 45 minutes, and expereince panoramic views over the north Pennines to the Yorkshire Dales and northwards, across dramatic mountain and lake scenery of Cumbria
