Hall Hills has 5 multi award-winning 4 and 5-star self-catering cottages set around a courtyard in a genuinely tranquil, rural location.

Just to the east of the Lake District National Park, they are handy for many attractions in Cumbria and beyond, including the historic city of Carlisle, the Scottish Borders and Hadrian's Wall. Hall Hills is hence a scenic rural retreat or a great base for exploring one of the UK's most impressive holiday destinations, and one with a tremendous wealth of things to see and do.

Secluded and sophisticated, the cottages are the result of a careful conversion of a cluster of 17thC stone barns. The resulting holiday accommodation has been individually designed to the highest standards with exposed beams and solid oak floors. The cottages are named Yan, Tan, Tethera, Methera and the Folly, each with its unique character and able to accommodate from 2 to 18 people altogether. They feature open-plan living and dining areas, and private patios with views over the Roe River and uninterrupted, rolling Cumbrian countryside.

All our properties are very different for example Yan is dog friendly and has an enclosed patio for your little four legged friend. Tan and Tethera are wonderful open plan properties to unwind in after a day out in the Lakes. The Folly is a stunning spacious first floor apartment just for two overlooking the river Roe. Methera is our single storey property and has the added luxury of its own private hot tub to enjoy and unwind in.

We have also created a couple of different combinations of properties called Sethera and Lethera which are linked properties in order to cater for groups of friends or family wishing to get away together and yet requiring space and privacy for all.

Groups can benefit from the use of our fully licensed facilities and our private bar area together with bespoke catering served within Chapter 7 private restaurant area to suit your taste and budget. Just send us an email with your requirements and we can organise it all for you. We can also help with transport throughout the Lakes if required. Catering can be arranged for groups of 10 or more subject to availability.

All our properties benefit from free wireless broadband and are equipped with smart TV's together with mobile phone compatible integrated sound systems. Guests also receive a welcome hamper offering a taste of local produce and lots of useful essential items that we include in the property as standard.

Luxury of a well stocked private bar and fully licensed restaurant area for pre booked group getaways for 10+. Host your own event and we have staff on hand to help with your arrangements. Superbly situated for either a quiet romantic getaway for 2 or Host of a special event for a group and have exclusive use. Carlisle only 7 miles. The Lakes 20 miles. Tim and Jude the owners also live at Hall Hills and can be on hand to assist if required. Children welcome from any age.

Hall Hills is well placed for motorway access whether travelling North or South.
Exit M6 jct 42, take turn off marked Dalston, continue for 3 miles, at the end turn left and continue past Stoneraise Primary School on right, for a further 2 miles. At crossroads by the Crown Inn, turn right signposted Gaitsgill and Dalston. Follow this road for 500 yds and via to left on the first bend, signposted Gaitsgill. Carry straight on to the end of this road and turn left. You are now situated between Raughton Head and Gaitsgill. Carry on up this road for 0.5 mile, over Thrangholme Bridge, Hall Hills is ahead on the left.
