Details

An idyllic setting with wonderful views of Whinfell Tarn, this single storey detached holiday cottage, adjacent to the owner's home, is peacefully located 3 miles north of the historic market town of Kendal. Guests have use of 2 acre-grounds bordering onto the Tarn, with coarse fishing licences available locally. Kendal is a great mix of history with castles, museums and old buildings, as well as tempting shops, tea rooms and riverside walks. The Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are renowned for their scenery and the views from the tops of the Fells are amazing.

Take A6 north to Penrith from Kendal. Take right turning to Mealbank at Skelsmergh. Keep on this road to junction and turn left. Follow this road for about 2 miles, come over Patton Bridge, after about 100 yards turn left. Sign in wall points to Crook Howe which is the first place on the right next to Whinfell Tarn. No public transport.
