Details

Sunrise has two bedrooms: a double with a four-poster bed upstairs leading into a family Jack & Jill bathroom downstairs twin bedroom served by the downstairs shower and toilet. The lounge has TV and DVD, books, games, local information and a multi-burner stove. The well-equipped kitchen leads into a small hallway to the downstairs shower and toilet and to the sauna.

The view from the dining area across the Nent Valley is superb and the garden is enclosed for dogs and/or children. At 1500' the views are spectacular and the cottage is well-placed for outings to Hadrian's Wall, the Lake District, mining museums, South Tynedale Railway and many Roman forts and sites.

Nenthead, a mile away, has a pub, community shop, bike shop and restaurant and the pretty cobbled town of Alston, just 4 miles away has a Spar, Co-op, fuel, butcher, health shop selling local cheeses, interesting speciality shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants.

Please note that due to the age of the property there are a number of uneven stone steps between rooms.
