We are sure couples will really enjoy Cobblestones. This charming little cottage/apartment lies just outside Ambleside in the delightful courtyard of character properties which were once the stables and grooms' cottages for The Croft and an ideal location from which to explore The Lake District. Walk from the door to Todd Crag and on to Loughrigg Fell , ramble 'Under Loughrigg' to Rydal and beyond to Grasmere, or take a leisurely stroll to the Lake for year round lake cruises amid glorious scenery. Nearby Ambleside and Waterhead offer plenty of choice when it comes to eating out and for local shopping in any season.

Accommodation: The property is reached up a sloping cobbled access lane from the courtyard. Once inside, you will find plenty of hooks for outdoor gear, a handy bench and boot rack,

before taking the four steps down into the main hallway. The sitting/dining room/kitchen has a tasteful ,relaxing feel ideal for unwinding with your own romantic dinner and a glass of wine or two, (wide screen TV with freeview and blu-ray player, wi-fi). The bedroom has double sized bed and a newly fitted very smart bathroom with travertine tiles and wide wall mirror (bath with shower over, basin and wc).

Cobblestones is comfortably furnished with fitted carpets to main living areas and with carefully chosen colours and personal touches. The property is kept cosy and warm with an efficient German electric system which gives you complete control over your personal comfort whilst seasonal lake views can be enjoyed from the sitting room.

Outside: Room to sit outside on a bench at the front door. Guests also have use of a pretty riverside garden alongside the River Brathay which is accessed across the road. Private parking for one car up the slope. Ambleside village centre 1mile, lake Windermere 1 mile.
