Built in 1830 Riversdale is a typical Lakeland stone family house situated in a convenient location just off the centre of Grasmere Village. The property is ideal for couples or families - all of the bedrooms being spacious and en-suite - as well as being a very comfortable and well equipped house, there are some nice fell views towards Lion and Lamb from the house and patio, and the River Rothay passes just outside the house.

Grasmere is a perfect holiday destination, whatever the season with walks from the door up to high peaks such as Helm Crag, Fairfield Horseshoe and Silver How and low valley rambles around Grasmere and Rydal lakes. There is a varied choice of pubs and restaurants and many interesting local shops for your everyday needs.

Accommodation: Front door entrance in to hallway where there is space to leave coats and boots. Separate utility room at the end of the hallway which houses the washer, dryer and traditional clothes airer - ideal for drying wet weather gear. Separate wc with basin. Spacious sitting/dining room with large arched windows to two sides, wall mounted flat screen TV with Freeview channels, DVD, and electric flame effect fire. Games room has table tennis table, comfortable seating, mini CD/hifi and TV to play DVDs. To the rear of the house is the very well equipped galley style kitchen with cream Italian style gloss units, large electric range cooker and American style fridge freezer - just what you need when you are cooking for eight.

Upstairs there are four en-suite bedrooms: bedroom one has a double bed and small sofa with views to the front and en-suite shower room with basin and wc; bedroom two is the largest with king-size bed, small sofa and dual aspect looking over the river to the front and Helm Crag to the side, the en-suite has bath with shower over, basin and wc; bedroom three is a twin also with views of Helm Crag and en-suite bathroom with bath, handheld shower (wall mounted), basin and wc; bedroom four is a twin with views of Helm Crag and en-suite bathroom with P-bath with shower over, basin and wc. All the bedrooms are light and spacious with plenty of fitted storage.

The property has quality furnishings throughout with co-ordinating decor and fabrics creating a contemporary feel.. Fitted carpets to most rooms, vinyl in kitchen and bathrooms. Gas central heating and hot water. The house is very welcoming with lots of books, maps and guides - ideal to help you plan your days out.

Outside: An ideal way to relax at the end of a hard day's walking and sightseeing is to sit on the patio areas to the front and side of the house, which get the sun for much of the day, with benches and garden furniture.
